She’s maybe underselling the situation.
Aw, so many feelings about my little fictional family and their werewolf-induced issues.
I’m glad in the end that I split the last page and this page into two, instead of my original plan of conveying all of this in one page. Story would’ve moved faster, but I think it’s a bit more poignant this way. I’ve been thinking a lot lately that comics are sort of the perfect storytelling medium. Production is cheap compared to movies, tv, animation, etc., and there’s a lot of things I can pull off with visuals that wouldn’t have worked as a regular novel. You can’t really do an unreliable narrator voice over a rather tragic childhood memory in prose. But you can in visual media!
Things get a little less dark next week! Sort of.
