If you're wondering how Mal is going to afford a building this big, you have to think back to prices during 2015 lol. Also, assume that her dad will end up probably co-owning this building with her anyway, since they'll be buying it through their business. I was going to try to make it look more dilapidated, but I know this story only has so much space for a werewolf renovation team side story, so only the upstairs is going to need work in the end. As for what the building is going to be used for, please give me your best ideas in the comments! I already know, because it's part of the plot of this chapter, but I want to see what everyone's guesses are :)
In cat-related updates, mama is out of my garage and at the vet today! She's more subdued than I'd have expected, but I think she's a little shocked and a little resigned to her fate. The fact that she didn't freak out more is giving me a bit of hope. She doesn't look like a wild thing, like feral cats do when they're completely bugged out of their mind, she just looks apprehensive. Idk, if you're very familiar with cats, you'll understand what I mean. I get her back tomorrow and then she'll go into a pop up enclosure in the guest room to hunker down until we're either friends or enemies.
