Ah, there’s nothing like being hit on at work! He’s very inappropriately determined. Even though Charlene is from New Orleans, you’ll have to just imagine her accent. Various writers are willing to throw down as to whether or not writing in the style of someone’s accent is appropriate or not, but I generally lean towards “written dialects are totally unreadable” and avoid the issue altogether. Then you get into the issue that a Louisiana accent is a very specific Southern accent (the joke here being that an Atlanta accent would be nothing like a New Orleans accent), and you throw some French in there, and then you’ve got a character no one would understand half the time, including me. And I sure can’t speak French, let alone the very specific creole the speak in various parts of Louisiana. So you’ll all have to use your ~imaginations~.

Fun fact: I have never drawn Charlene with the same hairstyle twice.

All right! I’d ramble more, but I’ve been up since 6am and suffered a pretty lousy night of sleep to boot. (I did have a weird dream in there that featured flavors of La Croix that don’t exist, and I’m kind of disappointed now.) I’m going to power through all the other work I have to get done today and then probably end up going to sleep as soon as it’s dark outside >_>
