Vote over at TWC and you can see a panel from tomorrow of Elias pitching, because it looks neat.
This section features baseball, so I had to slide a pitcher/catcher joke in there, though Vincent absolutely doesn't get it. This marks like, maybe the second sexual innuendo in this whole comic, so it's obviously a very sexy comic. (You will have to use the internet if you don't understand the pitcher/catcher thing.)
I wanted to make it clear that Elias did already talk to his mom, and it was an intense conversation, without actually having to hash out that conversation again. The joy of a visual medium is that I can use images instead of long descriptions, and imply what doesn't need to be said. Comics are very efficient when they want to be.
The last panel of Vincent makes me very happy.
I'm only half alive, because I've been busting ass lately to stay on top of comic work as well as all the political stuff I have going on. The Indiana Democratic Convention is this weekend, so I have to get my life together for that. It wouldn't be such a big deal to arrange, but it's over three hours to get to Indianapolis from where I live, and I had to get a hotel room and all that, and this thing goes through most of Friday and all Saturday. No idea what is involved, because I've never been before, but we'll see! I'm very tired and I have zero food in my house, so I gotta go take care of that right now.
